One festival, two venues, two cities. All Things Go, a music festival in its tenth year of production, will take place in September in Columbia, Maryland and Forest Hills, New York.

The festival first began in 2014 as the ‘All Things Go Fall Classic’. It was held in Union Park in Washington D.C before being transitioning to bigger venues, landing at Merriweather Pavillion in Columbia. This year, it was announced the festival would also be held at Forest Hills stadium in New York City on the same weekend.

The lineups share a few artists, though the newer New York City festival will have fewer artists than Columbia. Many of the artists on both lineups are out and proud LGBTQ+ artists, including icons like Janelle Monae, Renee Rapp, Chappell Roan, Julien Baker, and more.

Maryland

Objectively, the gayest of the two lineups, Maryland holds the OG All Things Go festival. Since 2014, the festival has been held at iconic Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland.

Some of the biggest stars in music right now are included in this lineup, many of whom are publicly queer and changing the music industry.

New York City

While New York gets a smaller lineup for it’s first year, it is nonetheless powerful. Unlike Columbia, those in the city will get to see indie-pop girl power band Muna, who is not simply a queer pop band, “Even though yes, ultimately, we’re very gay. I mean, look at us,” guitarist Naomi McPherson told Independent in an interview.

New York also will be graced with the presence of singer-songwriter Samia and pop duo Coco & Clair Clair.
