Tommy Richman’s Coyote Tour made a stop at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, showcasing exactly why he’s rising in the music scene. His unique artistry and the diverse audience he draws made for a night full of infectious energy and genre-defying sounds.
Paco & mynameisntjmack
The night kicked off with opening sets from Paco and mynameisntjmack, both of whom have collaborated with Richman. Deeply rooted in his Mexican heritage, Paco brought a strong cultural presence to the stage. Rocking cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. His performance was a seamless fusion of English and Spanish lyrics, hyping up the crowd with his regional influences and undeniable stage presence. Though his set was brief, it was packed with energy, setting the perfect tone for the night.
Next up was mynameisntjmack, a fellow Virginian and frequent collaborator of Richman’s. His set brought a different vibe, incorporating live instrumentation that complemented his introspective lyrics and smooth rap style. He did an incredible job at keeping the crowd engaged with his stage presence and style.

Tommy Richman
When Tommy Richman finally took the stage, opening with WHITNEY, the energy in the venue exploded. The stage design mirrored the aesthetic of his Coyote album cover, complete with cacti and an old Hollywood-style vanity, adding to the atmospheric nostalgia that defines his music. His setlist was a well-curated journey through his discography, including older tracks like RUN and ELECTRIFY THE NIGHT from his 2022 debut album ALLIGATOR, as well as newer songs from COYOTE like DEVIL IS A LIE and GREEN THERAPY.

Richman’s music is a melting pot of influences—melding funk, R&B, alternative, and electronic elements with a distinctly retro flair. His ‘80s-inspired grooves had the entire venue dancing, while his more mellow tracks provided moments of raw emotion. The crowd sang along to every word, and the connection between the artist and audience was undeniable.
The night was filled with special moments, including surprise appearances from Trevor Spitta for TENNESSEE and mynameisntjmack for BUNKER/PREROLL. One of the most memorable highlights came when Richman performed MILLION DOLLAR BABY—twice. He spoke candidly about how the song changed his life, and the audience responded with overwhelming energy, proving just how much impact his music has had.

For the encore, he closed out with ACTIN UP, bringing out his friends and artists, including Paco and mynameisntjmack back on stage for a full-circle finale that felt like a celebration of artistry and friendship. The stage became a scene of pure euphoria, with the perfomers feeding off the energy of the crowd, making for a truly unforgettable ending.

From start to finish, the night was an electrifying experience. The openers set the perfect foundation, the crowd’s energy never wavered, and Tommy Richman proved exactly why he’s one of the most exciting artists rising today. His ability to fuse sounds, engage with his audience, and create a truly immersive live experience made this show a night to remember.
