Alternative singer-songwriter Still Woozy brought the opening night of his “Loveseat” tour to a sold out crowd in Tempe, Arizona. The venue was packed, the excitement palpable among the 1,500 people stuffed into the general admission venue. Despite the tight space, the crowd found ways to jump and dance, too excited to let anything ruin their night.

Before the band took the stage, it was adorned simply with adorable, smiley flowers and a piano wrapped in a beautiful flower arrangement. The band took the stage and I swear I felt the floor shake.

When Sven Eric Gamsky (Still Woozy) took the stage, the show took off in full force. Gamsky ran around the stage, jumping about, barely being louder than the screaming fans. He started the night with ‘Again’, from his most recent album. It could be assumed that the crowd knew the words because this tour is celebrating that album.

However, Gamsky scattered the setlist with songs spanning his career, including “Lucy” (2018), “Window” (2020), “Lava” from his 2019 EP, and more! Of course he ended the night with the crowd pleasers “Habit” and “WTF”.

While Gamsky’s music is definitely considered a bit more chill and ‘vibe-y’, his stage presence is anything but. When he wasn’t running from one end of the stage to the other, or shaking his little booty, he sang with an incredible depth and passion.

With such a certain vibe of his music, it’s clear that he is very detail oriented with its production, and you feel the love he put into his music when he’s singing it live. His performance takes the music out of your headphones and you get to immerse yourself in the instrumentals and the vocals in a really beautiful way.

Gamsky is an animated, engaging, and all-around fun stage presence. The show was incredible, and it set the tone for an amazing tour.
